My conference period is period 6 ( 2:30-3:30).á If you need to discuss your child's progress, you may do so by contacting me via email (which is best) or by school telephone to schedule an appointment.á Although I do have an "open door" policy, it's best to set an appointment to speak with me in person afterschool.

List of Supplies Needed For My Course:
1 three-ring binder( 1 1/2" or 2" size)
6 dividers or tabs
1 folder that already has three wholes punched and can fit in your binder
1áhighlighter pen that has 5 colors ( looks like a color wheel) -or- 5 different highlighter colors
1 blue/black pen
1 pencil with a good eraser
college lined ruled paper

Read Chapters 1 and 2 of the class textbook " The American Pageant" and complete the study guides found in the summer assignment folder to the left. It includes the study guides for Ch1 ( New World Beginnings), Ch 2 ( Planting of English America) and a 16th and 17th century colonization chart.To access the class textbook online go to Mr. Yamazaki's school fusion page.Click the link to the left to access the summer assignment folder.

In addition- After reading chapters 1 and 2 of the class text book, you are to create an Colonial American Journal/Scrapbook. The directions to this assignment can be found in the summer assignment folder to the left.

Your Scrapbooks will be due the first of school in the Fall. Late work will not be accepted.

You will be tested on your knowledge and understanding of Chapters 1 and 2 of the class textbook the first week we start school in the Fall.
